Variety is definitely the spice of life and I’m proud to serve a wide range of venues in my private consultancy and I intend this is reflected in this Collective.  There are some themes though – in general this event will appeal to independent, exclusive-use wedding-heavy locations. That includes country houses and estates, barns and farms, tipi and outdoor venues. Locations with small but mighty teams with you at the head.

The event is purposefully kept small and intimate to enable plenty of time and for each voice to be heard and supported. No more than 12 places are available. It may be that depending on the fit of attendees booking, I choose to close the registrations at a slightly smaller number still, again to ensure that the fit and balance is right for the group in question.

It’s designed to discuss largely wedding-business related subjects so is ideal for venues with a heavy wedding-leaning (more than 50% of business). However venues that host other types of event (life milestones, workshops, retreats, corporate etc) are also welcome so long as the wedding portion of the business is a key business focus.   By the way we will also talk very much about diversification aspects and how to make them work as looking outside of weddings is very much embraced and encouraged and I intend for this event to inspire and provide opportunity to discuss filling off-seasons, gaps and developing other revenue streams.

There will be an agenda but this is not a formal conference.  At the moment I’m keeping the agenda fluid to ensure that the contents are as up to date as they possibly can be but they will be highly focussed on some of the core venue challenges – recruitment and team, digital and multi-channel marketing, sales conversion, changing customer behaviours to name a few.

This event is more suited to one leader of a venue or in some cases I work with double-act teams – an owner/founder and a General Manager, both are welcome.  No more than 2 places are available per venue.
