The little touches that brides will love you for | Wedding Venue Extras
Growing Your Revenue & Profit
Growing Your Revenue & Profit
Sometimes it’s the little things which really make all the difference. It sounds cliché but I really believe it’s true. As wedding professionals we are here to make all our couples planning journey fun, inspiring as well as smoother and easier. We are mainly dealing with very busy people who have endless social and work commitments and, with the greatest will in the world, usually have limited time to plan their wedding. The more you can offer to make things simpler for them, the more of a fan of your venue they’ll be. Not to mention some of these items can be charged out as additional services, hence additional revenue.
Here are my top ten add-ons I think you should either be including as standard or have available:
- Microphone and PA system for speeches
- Ipod and Dock for ceremony or dinner background music
- Availability of Wifi and frames/chalkboards/plasmas for displaying wedding hashtags
- Selection of garden games such as Jenga, 4-score, Quoits
- Basic lighting package of key features particularly for the evening
- Bride’s lunch (with champagne) for the all-important getting ready part of the day
- Attractive easel and board for seating plan
- Selection of table number stands
- Chalkboards/blackboards for signage
- Attractive/neutral bar unit
Don’t wait to be asked for these things, produce an e-brochure that you send out early in the enquiry or planning process so couples know you can help with these valued extras. Give them a shopping list with images; the detail really matters with weddings. A bride/groom and/or wedding planner really care how the easel looks, so good quality products and good images are key.
