Chiswick House & Gardens – Industry Showcase

About Kelly Chandler, Marketing Your Wedding Venue
Cast your mind back to the switching of the seasons and the changing of colours and today’s post is dedicated to showcasing a collaborative industry event which I headed up on behalf of one of my consulting venue clients, the beautiful Chiswick House & Gardens.
The team at Chiswick House & Gardens are always seeking to grow and improve their commitment to the wedding market which the house & gardens are quite simply made for yet they have not been terribly well known in the wedding industry or within the wedding trade so to speak. I set out to change that and along with a wonderful team of dedicated and recommended suppliers of this West London gem, we designed a real treat of a day for a select group of discerning wedding planners, stylists, journalists and bloggers.
Guests were greeted by The Wandering Hands trio and welcomed into the Domed Saloon of Chiswick for delicious and autumnal warming canapés and champagne, before an informal tour of the various dressed wedding ceremony and reception spaces, followed by introductions by the house team both from an events perspective with some insightful history of the location. The intimate group then enjoyed a gorgeous autumn banquet prepared by kitchen talents Food Show. Could the florals be anymore seasonal than this? Designed by the creative genius, Ruth of All for Love London. The lunch was rounded off with tea and coffee in the Conservatory, which is also a must-see wedding ceremony and reception space.
And is the effort worth it? Several venue clients of mine report that it certainly is and are thrilled with a combination of direct business, exposure to photo shoots, media features and more. Chiswick House & Gardens are delighted to have introductions to such a relevant and curated audience with the perfect client type and event focus. It has to be the right guest list of course for this kind of event. This is not an easy thing to arrange to the untrained eye nor it is easy to gain commitment to attend from very busy small business owners and their senior team members, but I like to think I’m rather well placed to achieve this.
I’m excited to follow the progress that’s made from this event and the doors that open as a result of the in-house team’s investment and effort.
“Thank you all so much for making yesterday such a success. We were thrilled with every aspect of the day and that is down to all of your help and commitment to the event”
